Situated on the south coast and known as Treasure Island, Namhae is home to some of the most stunning and unspoiled scenery in Korea with crystal clear water, white sandy beaches and pine covered mountains, not only are the beaches among the prettiest in Korea, they are far less busy and commercialised.

Day 1: We’ll start the weekend at Daerangi Village where the traditional rice terraces intermingle with traditional restaurants and contemporary cafes as you wind down to country paths to the sea. We’ll then make the short journey to Sangju beach where you have the option of staying in a Pension (guesthouse) 1 minute from the beach, or if you want to keep it alfresco you can camp under the pine trees alongside the beach. Spend the rest of your day soaking up the rays and beach vibes or explore the island some more.
Day 2: Start your day off with a yoga flow on the beach, then have a lazy beach day or rent a paddle board. We’ve also got a shuttle to the nearby Seoli beach with it’s infinity swing and glass bottomed walkway. In the evening we’ll make the short journey to Namhae’s German Village. Nestled in the countryside, the quaint village inspired by German architecture has some great options for dinner and drinks. When we get back you can spend the rest of your evening chilling on the beach with a few drinks.
Day 3: Starts with a stunning sunrise at the mountain top temple Geumsan Boriam for an amazing spiritual experience. If you’d rather have a long lie, that’s cool too.
After check-out on Monday morning we’ll travel to the Boseong Green Tea Fields. Korea has a long history of planting tea and the green fields of Boseong are among it’s most famous. The plantations have been used as backdrops for many movies and TV shows, providing a beautiful setting for a chilled day out amongst some of Korea’s most beautiful natural vistas. Of course, don’t forget to try some tea from a local tea shop, or get some surprisingly good green tea ice-cream with green tea churro. In addition to the tea fields there’s also a stunning Bamboo forest to explore which makes for some amazing photos.

The amount payable in USD is the cost of the trip in Korean Won divided by 1,190. For example, if the price is 109,000krw, it will be $158.82.
*You can put down a minimum deposit of 50,000 won to secure your place on the trip. We can accept up to 2 instalment payments. The final balance needs to be paid by May 20th. The deposit and/or instalments are subject to our usual refund policy. Please get in touch for more information.

CAMPING
The camping option includes a reserved spot on the beachside campsite (camping on the sand is prohibited in Namhae). A tent, sleeping bag etc is not included, you should bring your own.
PENSION
The pension price is based on 5 people sharing a 2 room apartment. If your group doesn’t fit a room exactly we can room you with other groups. If your group is larger than 5 we can room you next door to each other. A room request form is sent out before the trip so you can let us know who you want to room with. You have the option of choosing a same gender and/or a quiet room and we do our best to accommodate your requests. Private rooms for smaller groups or individuals are available on request at additional cost, but you must request in advance. The rooms have traditional ondol bedding sets.

BUS DEPARTURE TIMES & LOCATIONS

Return Journey Departure – We will depart Boseong at 4pm on Monday, aiming to be back in Busan by 7.45pm, Changwon by 7pm, Daegu and Daejeon by 8pm, and Seoul by 10pm.
CANCELLATION POLICY
No transferring spots to other people
Cancel on or before May 6th – 10% cancellation fee
Cancel on or before May 13th – 25% cancellation fee
Cancel on or before May 20th – 50% cancellation fee
Cancel after May 20th – 100% cancellation fee. No refund can be given, sorry.
In the unlikely event we need to cancel the event due to the coronavirus, we will offer a full refund (minus 20,000krw admin charge), so you can book with confidence.
Deposits are subject to our usual refund policy on a pro rata basis as if the deposit was payment in full. For example if you’ve paid a deposit of 99,000krw but cancel on May 13th, you’d forfeit 49,750krw.
CORONAVIRUS PRECAUTIONS
We assume as you’re attending the trip you 1) aren’t displaying any symptoms, and 2) haven’t had any exposure to the existing virus clusters. If however you have, please inform us prior to the trip as well as your employer or relevant authority to seek further guidance.
To encourage social distancing we don’t include entrance for the Boseong Green Tea Fields to allow you to enter at your own pace and encourage social distancing.
We ensure all recommended national and local government restrictions and recommendations are enforced on our trips.
