FAQs

What’s an Enjoy Korea trip like? We’re not the typical follow the flag kind of tour like you’ve maybe experienced before. We do the difficult/boring stuff like planning, reservations and scheduling, allowing you to relax and focus on having a good time. Our tours focus more on natural beauty and fun experiences. We get you where you need to be, when you need to be there, point you in the right direction and let you Enjoy Korea your way. If you want more information about a location, or a top recommendation for a bar or restaurant our reps are very knowledgeable about the areas we visit and are there to share their knowledge with you.

OPTIONAL TOURS

East Coast Tour – This tour departs on the first day when we arrive directly from the ferry terminal around 2pm, this is because the terminal is near the East Coast so minimises a long bus journey on another day, meaning we’ll check into the hotel around 8.30pm. First we visit Seongsan Ilchulbong Crater for lunch and to enjoy the stunning views, then make the short journey to the Manjanggul Lava Caves. Entrances to both are included in the trip cost.

Halla Mountain Hike – We depart the hotel at 7.30am for the 1 hour drive to the base of Halla. Once we arrive you have free time to hike the mountain at your pace with multiple shuttle buses back to the hotel to suit most hiking paces.

RETURN JOURNEY INFORMATION

Please note this may change due to adverse weather or other conditions affecting the ferry’s schedule. Please read full disclaimer below. We will check out of our hotel at 11am taking the 1.40pm ferry back to the mainland. We should arrive on the mainland around 6pm, getting you back to Changwon & Daejeon around 9.30pm, Busan & Daegu around 10.30pm, and Seoul around 11.30pm.

HOTEL & ROOMING INFO

Prices are based on 4 people sharing either a Resort Room or Hotel Room.

Resort rooms are in the main building, have a sea and pool view with 2 twin beds and 2 comfortable traditional ondol pad sets. Resort rooms also have a basic kitchen, bathroom, and balcony with pool and sea views. We have a few larger 8 people resort suites (all ondol) available on request assuming the rule of 4 is lifted before the trip.

Hotel rooms are a 30 second walk from the main building, have a sea view, bathroom, 2 queen beds, fridge but no kitchen or balcony. If your group doesn’t want to share the beds, occupancy rates are available.

Resort rooms are 10,000krw per person more than hotel rooms (based on 4 sharing), make sure all your group selects the same room type when booking.

A room request form is sent out before the trip so you can let us know who you want to room with. You have the option of choosing a same gender room and/or a quiet room and we do our best to accommodate your requests. Under occupancy rates are available, you must select these at time of booking.

Under occupancy rates are as follows:

Hotel Rooms
3 per room, 60,000krw extra in total (Only 1 guest per room should pay this extra cost)
1 or 2 per room, 120,000 total (Only 1 guest per room should pay this extra cost)

Resort Rooms
3 per room, 80,000krw extra in total (Only 1 guest per room should pay this extra cost)
1 or 2 per room, 160,000 total (Only 1 guest per room should pay this extra cost)

Our hotel is a definite upgrade from the usual motels and pensions on offer, with a pool and poolside bar/restaurant. An all you can eat western style breakfast is included and served each morning. There is a mart on site with the usual offerings. There are poolside picnic tables and also a fire pit . The hotel is about a 2 minute walk to the sea, and a 2 minute drive to Hyeopjae beach (we provide a bus shuttle service to Hyeopjae beach each night).

FERRY INFO

Depending on the weather it’s about a 4 Hour ride each way giving you time to check out the stunning views and grab a well deserved nap.

Standard reservation is in economy, which includes full access to all amenities on the ship and a reserved group room (ondol style). No bedding is provided so if you’re wanting to sleep we recommend bringing your own mat and pillow (a yoga or camping mat would be ideal). The ship is huge with lots of seating options throughout on a first come first serve basis, and if the weather is nice the top decks are the place to be.

These rooms are very limited so we recommend signing up asap. The rate quoted is per room so only 1 member per group should add the room to their booking. Please note this price is on top of the regular trip cost.

CORONAVIRUS PRECAUTIONS
